Ok, I'm from Minnesota originally, lived there for the first 20+ years of my life, so when the Wild came to the NHL back in 2000 they have been my #1 team, over the course of the years I have also become a Ranger fan (a close 2nd fav of mine), Greg suggested I make this thread about the Wild, no real news to speak of at the moment, but I will do what I can with what I have to work with

My second favorite team!
Best jerseys in the NHL (I own a home and an Rolston away) and my second favorite goalie to Lundqvist, Niklas Backstrom.

I just hope that the Wild have a respectable year, new coach, new GM, Gaborik's gone, (that is still weird to say, at least he stayed with my other fav team) I think if the core guys stay healthy, they will be a 6th seed at best

They're defenseman are relatively the same as is the goaltending and even with the loss of Gaborik, the team's offense will still be better.

the whole Gaborik thing hovored over the Wild last year, Risebrough (former Wild GM) screwed that up from square one, the players said it was not an issue, but clearly it was, it worked well for the Rangers, but I feel they (the Rangers) gave him way to much for way to long. Craig Leipold (Wild owner) made a great move by canning Risebrough, the preseason hasn't even started and it feels like that monkey is off our shoulders

I liked Risebrough though. Maybe I'm biased because he was going to let me interview him before he got the boot.

One of my friends is a big Wild fan - he lives out there.
So as a MN fan and a Rangers fan - what are your thoughts on Gaborik?

Hey everyone, especially to Greg and onetymer. I'm Loyal_Wild_Fan from the Wild Message boards. Just wanted to register over here and say hello! I'll eventually create some forums of mine own as well, but not until my blog/show picks up steam. Greg, thanks again for all of your help! I appreciate it a lot!

Unfortunately this forum isn't as busy as yours. Well, there are thousands of members there; almost all of them die hard Wild fans. What would you expect? We aren't called the State of Hockey for no reason!!! ;D

WBB can go jam themselves. I'm staying on that forum, even when my banning is complete.

I get irritated within moments of reading over there lately. Took a break and nothing's really changed.

So as a MN fan and a Rangers fan - what are your thoughts on Gaborik? you know, it's weird really, I never really thought that he would leave, especially to the Rangers, so when I heard that I was upset, it will sink in eventually, my guess is that it won't take long...
